RISE Couples
A Year-Long R.I.S.E. Method
Program for Couples
By Dr. Leetal Benzvi | An Art Sense Signature Program
About the Program
RISE Couples is a year-long therapeutic journey designed by Dr. Leetal Benzvi, Expressive Arts Therapist, researcher, and founder of the R.I.S.E. Seven-Step Resilience Method.
Created for couples seeking deeper emotional connection, clarity, and resilience, the program offers a structured, compassionate, and transformative process that unfolds over twelve months.
Through expressive arts, trauma-informed practices, movement, journaling, and guided dialogue, couples rediscover emotional safety, improve communication, rebuild intimacy, and gain concrete tools to regulate their nervous system, communicate more effectively, and navigate moments of stress or conflict with greater understanding and stability.
Our Therapeutic Approach
RISE Couples is rooted in the R.I.S.E. Method, integrating expressive arts therapy, trauma-informed and resilience-centered care, polyvagal and neuroscience-based regulation, and relational healing practices.
The program draws from a variety of trauma infomred therapeutic approaches — including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychotherapy, Imago couples therapy, EMDR, and expressive arts therapy — weaving them into a coherent, gentle, and deeply transformative experience.
Throughout the year, couples learn practical resources and tools for communication, emotional regulation, co-regulation, and conflict repair, enabling them to shift from reactivity to connection, from overwhelm to clarity, and from emotional distance back into closeness, trust, and mutual understanding.
Who This Program Is For
RISE Couples is ideal for couples who:
- Feel emotionally distant or disconnected
- Are overwhelmed by stress, trauma, or life transitions
- Want to improve communication and co-regulation
- Wish to rebuild intimacy and trust
- Seek a guided, supportive path toward long-term healing and growth
No artistic experience is required — only openness and curiosity.
A Proven Model of Transformation
The RISE methodology has supported couples from diverse backgrounds, offering tools and processes that meet each couple where they are.
One of our most impactful implementations is the Orot RISE Initiative with the Duvdevan community — a powerful collaboration between Art Sense, Orot Healing (USA), and the Duvdevan Foundation. Through this initiative, elite military couples reconnected after the emotional weight of war and prolonged service.
The profound results of this program continue to shape and strengthen every RISE Couples cohort offered today.

Program Structure
The year-long journey includes monthly therapeutic sessions, expressive arts and regulation workshops, guided journaling and reflection, relationship-focused exercises, community support, a mid-year intensive experience, and ongoing clinical oversight.
Each cohort is shaped according to the needs of its participants and facilitated by a trained team under Dr. Benzvi’s direction.
Program Leadership
RISE Couples is directed and clinically led by Dr. Leetal Benzvi, who oversees the therapeutic design and curriculum, facilitates expressive arts and trauma-informed sessions, trains and supervises the clinical team, conducts intake interviews, and ensures emotional safety and ethical care throughout the year.
The R.I.S.E. Method and RISE Together program structure are exclusive Art Sense offerings developed by Dr. Benzvi.
Where Couples Grow, Heal, and Rise
RISE Couples is more than a program — it is a year-long transformation. A space where couples rediscover connection, deepen understanding, and build the resilience needed to rise together.
