About Leetal
"Art in itself, is an attempt to bring order out of chaos”
Dr. Leetal Caidar Benzvi
Dr. Leetal Caidar Benzvi is the founder of Art Sense, an organization that designs and implements long-term therapeutic programs for populations impacted by trauma, grief, and mental health challenges.
With over 15 years of experience as an Expressive Arts Therapist, Dr. Benzvi has pioneered a holistic approach to healing that combines the power of creative expression with trauma-informed care.
She is the creator of the R.I.S.E Method, a seven-step expressive arts framework that has helped hundreds of individuals and professionals navigate adversity and build lasting resilience. Her programs—spanning year-long journeys, intensive retreats, and global collaborations—have been implemented with bereaved families, combat veterans, and trauma-exposed communities worldwide.
Dr. Benzvi holds a Master’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy and a Doctorate in Expressive Arts Therapy from EGS in Switzerland. She trains therapists, facilitates resilience-focused workshops for organizations and corporate teams, and has taught at institutions including the University of Haifa, Tel Aviv University, and Ruppin Academic Center.
With a mission to bring beauty, connection, and meaning to the healing process, Dr. Benzvi continues to lead innovative programs that turn pain into purpose—through the arts.
About Art Sense
Art Sense is a global therapeutic company that creates and delivers long-term healing programs for communities and organizations impacted by trauma, grief, and mental health challenges.
At the core of every initiative is the R.I.S.E Method—a research-based, seven-step expressive arts journaling process that fosters resilience, emotional integration, and sustainable transformation.
Developed by Dr. Leetal Caidar Benzvi, the R.I.S.E Method weaves together neuroscience, trauma-informed care, and creative expression—including movement, collage, narrative, and visual journaling—into a structured, accessible model for healing. It has been implemented with populations worldwide, including bereaved families, war survivors, and trauma-exposed professionals.
Art Sense designs customized, year-long programs in collaboration with nonprofits, foundations, and institutions—offering retreats, therapeutic journeys, and follow-up care that create meaningful and measurable change.
In addition, Art Sense Academy offers professional training, certification, and supervision for therapists, coaches, and facilitators who want to integrate the R.I.S.E Method into their practice.
Whether you're seeking to bring healing to a community or deepen your own practice, Art Sense offers a visionary, creative path to resilience—where art becomes a language for what words cannot hold.

Dadi Tzoref, Partner – Co-founder of the VIVINO Group
As Co-Founder and CEO of Orot Healing, I witnessed the power of deep, intensive care—and the urgent need for lasting solutions. Partnering with Dr. Leetal Caidar Benzvi, we uncovered a critical gap: families of elite combat units, especially spouses, were breaking under the strain. With unmatched clinical expertise and a profound grasp of the IDF family experience, Leetal leads the entire program—directing the content, bringing her team of experts and her proven methodology, and engaging with donors to share both the process and the powerful results. Through the Couples Initiative she directs, marriages are being saved and families restored, in the only year-long, evidence-based program of its kind in Israel.
